This All In One Base, Top & Wear Extending System is designed specifically for those who want their mani to last with ultimate nail defense, keep that near perfect shine up until their next manicure, and remove when needed without damage. Our patented demi-gel fills ridges and smooths the nail plate. This is the Defend and Shine System that gives you the look and feel of gel, but with regular nail polish. Use as a base, top, or both!
DEFEND + SHINE: Always Start Here
Regardless of any nail system being employed, not just Defend & Shine, it is crucial that your nails be properly filed and cleaned prior to service.
PREP THE NAIL
Shape nails and smooth any free-edge separation to remove any residue from underneath the nail. File in an upwards motion; then downward to seal. Remove any stray dust and clean the nail with Remove+.
· Do NOT dehydrate or score the nail before application
Defend + Shine: The Layering Method
Great for those who want the look and feel of gel nails. Average wear of 7-14 days.
NAKED GELIE
Apply an even coat of Naked Gelie to all 10 nails. Be sure to leave a small space between the cuticle and Naked Gelie so not to flood the cuticle, sidewall, upper corners of free edge, and skin. Wrap the tip of your free-edge and do not paint your skin. Clean up any Naked Gelie on the cuticle, sidewall, upper corners of free edge, or the skin with an orangewood stick before curing.
TIME TO CURE

Spray Clear Shine onto a lint-free square and wipe each nail to remove any residue after curing.
Add your favorite Zoya color and topcoat. Allow everything to dry for at least 4 hours, but we recommend waiting 12 hours.
COLOR POLISH
Add your favorite Zoya color and topcoat. Allow everything to dry for at least 4 hours, but we recommend waiting 12 hours.

TIME TO CURE
Cure the Naked Gelie under the Travel LED Light
It’s recommended that you wait approximately 4 hours to apply Gelie to the polish (12 hours for best results ) after polish dries.

Note: Because only one layer of Gelie is being used in these methods, only 5 minutes in the service or at home is needed in order to properly remove the Gelie.
The Layering Method, with two coats of Gelie, will require double the amount of time to remove.
How To Use The Light
Gelie-Cure requires a light that has 180 degrees of LED bulbs (that means LED bulbs on top and on the sides) that creates the optimal mesh of light to cure evenly and thoroughly. Any light with fewer bulbs or without a 180-degree placement will not work. If you have a light with the same configuration as the Gelie-Cure lights then you should be fine, otherwise, stick only with our light. Remember it’s not the wattage, it’s the light configuration. Be sure to remove the film from the top and side bulb panels before use.
MIDDLE FINGERS
Cure the 3 middle fingers one hand at a time for 60 seconds.
CENTER PINKIES
Cure both pinkies by crossing wrists over one another and centering under the light, for 60 seconds.
CENTER THUMBS
Center thumbs under the light and cure for 60 seconds.
MIDDLE FINGERS
Remove the bottom metal plate and note where the two ovals are near the front curve, as well as where the raised line is towards the back.
CURE FINGERS
Cure 4 fingers first, for 60 seconds. Make sure the tips of the fingernails are behind the line and hands are centered in the cure zone (as pictured).
CURE THUMBS
Cure thumbs by positioning them on the indentations.
Removal Instructions
Easy Removal…. When using Defend & Shine removal in only 5 minutes for each layer of Gelie you use! Yes, you heard correctly! Remove using Zoya Remove+.
SATURATE COTTON
Saturate a cotton ball with Zoya Remove+ and apply to each nail. Wrap with foil, fitted tightly to the shape of the nail.
WAIT TWO MINUTES
Leave on for TWO minutes.
WIGGLE FOIL
Wiggle the cotton ball across the nail as you remove the foil. Gelie-Cure will be removed easily with no scraping. For thicker layers, open foil and rub cotton to remove.
